Super Churchill Polar Bear Guides

Many things contribute to having a wonderful trip such as logistics, accommodations, food, weather, wildlife, companions, etc. One very big factor is the guide and on my Polar Bear trip, we had two exceptional ones. Leah Magowan and Rinie Van Meurs have been doing this for years, so they know the area, history, and wildlife inside & out. In addition, Rinie is a world-class photographer, so this was a nice bonus for me. They are both just super people and a pleasure to be around.

Rinie is actually a Nikon shooter, but I liked this pose by the big white Canon lens

A good guide is always looking around and Rinie was often the first to spot Polar Bears
