Subject: Deadline for High Peaks Post Articles ... Date: Fri, 21 Mar 2008 21:04:07 -0600 From: Alek O. Komarnitsky To: high-peaks-post-4th-grade@komar.org CC: Maggie Yost High Peaks Post 4th Graders and Parents, We had a good meeting today over lunch ... although since it was the last day before Spring Break, I think the favorite part was when I set the clock ahead so school was done early ... ;-) Per comments from Editor-in-Chief Maggie Yost, she is slipping the deadline for the *final* versions of your papers to the Monday after Break - March 31st. I'm not sure what time that day is the cutoff, but recommend you not wait until Midnight! So for those of you who haven't sent me a draft yet, please start writing. And for those that have, please do your final editing/polishing and send me a "golden" copy - marking it as Final ... plus be sure there is a headline/byline at the top. You need to send me an electronic copy so I can update our web page: http://www.komar.org/high-peaks-post/ as Ms. Yost will pull the copies from there for inclusion into the paper. As I mentioned at lunch today, newspapers reporters that miss their deadline can run their stories in the next day's paper. But the High Peaks Post only comes out once a year, so hopefully everyone can get their story done so it can be in there. Have a great Spring Break, alek
