So I visit a friend at Steamboat Springs to go skiing and am
wondering if I should try to get a discount ticket,
talk to someone who might have an extra day pass, or
whatever so I don't have to pay the full price at the ticket window.
My friend Jon Wade says: "I'll take care of you"
and hands me what you see on the left.
This is a Colorado Gold Pass - it's good at any Colorado ski resort all season long. While I don't ski like an Olympic champion (even though I wear a retro Bill Johnson red helmet - see that at Arapahoe Basin), I sure felt like one wearing this gold medal! ;-) Speaking of Steamboat, Intrawest bought it in late/2006 and is pumping in tons of money into the resort and community - great summary from my friend Jon.
