May 13th, 2010 - Summit Catapult Day

As the parent of a Summit 6th grader, I offered to take some pictures for Mrs. Cheryle Kapsak for the Summit Catapult Day on May 13th, 2010. This is part of the Medieval Studies curriculum and a ton of fun - hats off to Summit for a job well done!
There's also some videos of catapult'ing from the parking lot, field, and the dreaded Viking Shot!

Photography Notes: Pictures and video taken with a Canon 7D and 17-55/F2.8 & 18-200 lens ... although I should brought the "Big Dog" 70-200/F2.8 lens for some more closeups. Weather was pretty cloudy, so light was so-so for pics with one camera on the tripod to try to capture a wide-angle video of the event.

It was a fun event and hope you enjoyed the pictures courtesy of Alek Komarnitsky at www.komar.org
